Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Port 14 years initially matures for 10 years in former Bourbon barrels. He then gets his final in Ruby Port Pipes. This not only gives the whisky its fruity aromas, but also its terracotta colour. This shimmers elegantly from the 0.7L bottle. By the way, he comes with 46 % vol.

Aroma and taste

As much elegance as it radiates optically, so excitingly it plays around the nose. Once the bottle is opened, a wonderful aroma of ripe fruits emerges immediately . Combined with dark chocolate, spices and a little sandalwood, this results in a fascinating combination of aromas. Nutty notes give it an additional depth.

Without a taste this drop looks impressive and so it presents itself also on the tongue. Silky and soft is Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban Port 14 YO - and full of flavor. First, the dark chocolate side of the whisky reveals itself, again refined by nuts and spices. Also the fruity side of this Glenmorangie shows in the form of mandarins up again.

Finish

As it should be for such a noble Single Malt Whisky, Quinta Ruban Port has a long finish. Chocolate and a bit of orange, in addition to the mint show up at the long lasting end.
