Suntory The Chita Whisky
Suntory The Chita Whisky enjoys much attention and recognition as the first Japanese grain whisky.
Production
The manufacturing story of Suntory The Chita whisky takes us to the colourful capital of Japan, Tokyo. There, this whisky is produced on a corn base and with a very elaborate process. The Japanese whisky matures in three different casks until it is blended. Spanish and American oak barrels as well as wine barrels are used in its production. It is also produced in a very complex and multiple distillation process. No effort was spared even in the production of the bottle and the accompanying gift box. For these were made by a Japanese calligraphy artist.
Whisky for beginners
The Suntory The Chita Whisky is very light and mild, making it perfect for those who want to slowly introduce themselves to the world of whisky. You don't have to be an experienced whisky expert to get a taste for Suntory The Chita. Its lovely aroma of crème brulee, honey and rose petals is appealing even to those who don't normally enjoy whisky. Also, the absence of smoke or peat flavours, with the resulting mildness, makes it perfect for beginners.
Flavour
Due to its production, Suntory The Chita Whisky is characterised by the oak flavours of Spanish and American casks. It also presents itself very soft in taste and reveals notes of mint, tropical fruits and coconut. It is perfect for those who prefer it simple and who do not like to be surprised by too complex flavours. Suntory The Chita Whisky can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as a whisky cola.
